HEROES REBORN: Jack Coleman give the scoop on Season 1 – exclusive interview

Some excerpts:

AX: How is it getting back together with the members of the team who are returning?

COLEMAN: It’s amazing. It’s awesome to be in Toronto, and all of a sudden, there’s Sendhil and there’s Grunny and there’s Masi and there’s Cris Rose and Jimmy Jean-Louis. To have these guys back on board is fantastic.

AX: Are you having a sense of déjà vu?

COLEMAN: It’s somewhere in between déjà vu and vuja de. Occasionally, it feels like I’m on the old show. Most of the time it does not, because it is not the old show. It’s very much a new thing, new cast, new stories, but from time to time, there are things that happen, especially when some of the original cast comes back that you have those moments.

AX: You’re back on CASTLE for the beginning of their eighth season. How do you enjoy your work there?

COLEMAN: Oh, I’ve had a really good time on CASTLE. I love working with Stana [Katic], I love working with Nathan [Fillion], Jon [Huertas] and Seamus [Dever], they’re all just fantastic and they’re so welcoming.

‘Heroes Reborn’ Star Jack Coleman Talks Texting Firestorm That Reunited Original Cast [INTERVIEW]

Excerpts:

Q: Who would have thought a pair of glasses would be so valuable to your character?

JC: You know, after “The Upfronts’s” Charlie Robinson came up to me and said, “I didn’t realize until today that your entire show was about your glasses?”

Q: Did you keep them after the show finished?

JC: I did keep a pair. And it was a good thing because I have to wear them in the Super Bowl promo because production didn’t have them. Well they couldn’t find them; they’ve since come up with a whole new batch, some of which are actually prescription, which is great because I am blind. So I did keep a pair and I wore them in the Super Bowl promo. When they called asking, “Do you have a pair…”

They were just happy to hear me say yes.

Q: Can you talk about putting them back on for the first time?

JC: I haven’t put them on since the show ended and they just sat on the shelf in my living room, so putting them back on for the first time was for that promo. It really felt like dress up, like Halloween, it was like, “Oh this is weird.” In the promo I didn’t know exactly what was happening, and you can see it definitely ties into the show, but I didn’t know exactly how yet. It was definitely a “try them on and see how they fit” thing. Even the first time when we started shooting it, took like an hour before I felt I was back in my skin again.

Q: Will we find out how the other members of the Bennett family react to Claire’s death?

JC: I’m not sure, probably not right away. It could come to that. I will tell you that Claire figures very prominently throughout the show. Whatever form she takes, she is not forgotten – ever.

We have another Jack Coleman interview from the Toronto International Film Festival:

Castle” Season 8 will premiere on ABC on Sept 21 at 10 p.m. ET. and as we posted before,  Jack Coleman will be appearing as Senator Bracken  in the first two episodes of the season. You can find Castle and Senator Bracken related spoilers in the links below:

#Castle showrunners on Senator Bracken

Interesting and exciting tidbit about Jack Coleman’s Castle appearance! Jack Coleman will return to the show as Senator Bracken in the upcoming season and according to the press releases, he will be in the first two episodes of the new season. Give Me My Remote posted an interview with the new showrunnners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter and here’s what they teased about Bracken’s return:

And where does Beckett go this season? And how does Jack Coleman’s Bracken tie into everything?

TPW: [Joking] Jack is back?! Oh my goodness.
AH: It’s meant to come out of nowhere. Clearly, it won’t come out of nowhere. I’ll say this: it definitely is a huge twist and surprise for our characters. And ultimately…yeah, I don’t want to give that away.

TPW: I’ll say this: it’s going to be an unexpected way how he comes back. I think a lot people who are big fans of the show like we are, if I say Bracken’s coming back, [the response is], “I’m sure it’s going to be because of this thing.” I think they’re going to be surprised, pleasantly surprised, with what Bracken is going to do.

Castle returns Monday, September 21st at 10 PM on ABC!

Jack Coleman to return to Castle

Apparently he will be back in a “surprising” way! (hopefully he’ll be back alive and kicking, though… ¬.¬) Castle Season 8 begins on September 21, and Jack seems set to appear in the first double episode. Hurray!

Here’s another exciting #Castle scoop for Jack Coleman fans!

Andrew Marlowe talked about a possible storyline involving Jack Coleman’s Castle character:

Other possible topics for the new season of Castle now that the show has been renewed: More trouble from Senator Bracken — the man responsible for Johanna Beckett’s murder.

“We think that there’s some storytelling opportunity with Senator Bracken, who’s currently behind bars,” Marlowe says. “But we know that he has lots of friends and allies out there. A lot of that has been laid to rest, but when you make an enemy that is that formidable, they reemerge, and they reemerge stronger and in unexpected ways.”

It sounds like our favorite evil Senator Bracken will appear in season 8!

Here’s an exciting #Castle scoop for Jack Coleman fans!

From EW’s Spoiler Room:

Are we done with the Bracken storyline on Castle? — John
If I had to guess, I’d say not so much. Showrunner David Amann says that although most of the storytelling surrounding Beckett’s mom is done, there is a “Bracken-related storyline that presents later in the season.” “We like Bracken as a character,” he says. “We think he’s an interesting person to access and there may be a reason moving forward to go back to him again.” Now the question is: Does it have to do with Castle’s disappearance?

It seems like we haven’t seen the last of Senator Bracken yet!

Will Senator #Bracken be back? #Castle

From TV Line:

The Castle finale was en fuego! Any news on what’s coming up for Season 7? –DarkDefender
I can tell you what’s not coming up – any new regurgitation of the Bracken storyline. Which, to me, rules out the squirrelly senator as the igniter of Castle’s fiery finale fate. “The Bracken arc is pretty much over,” Marlowe told me after the finale. “We know who [killed Johanna], Beckett has gotten juctice…. If there is any future storytelling with Senator Brecken, it would be breaking new ground and not going back to revisit the old ghosts.” That said, “Bracken isn’t dead, he’s a formidable person and he may someday entertain notions for revenge,” Marlowe allowed, “but it would be [in the context of] storytelling that moves us forward.”

So, Bracken may still want some revenge on Beckett, but it looks like us Jack Coleman fans will definitely need to wait awhile.
